Traditional Design Collection
Holiday's Traditional Design Collection feature framed construction, plywood sides, quality vinyl interior for easy maintenance, 5/8" solid hardwood dovetail drawers, Tandemplus drawer guides, and flush finished "furniture" ends. Over 100 door styles are available in oak, cherry, maple, hickory and alder.
Cabinet Construction
Traditional cabinets are constructed of ½” plywood sides. Tops and bottoms of wall cabinets are ½” density board. Base cabinets have ½” density board bottoms and ¾” solid wood side rails for attaching counter tops. All cabinets have ¾” x 2 9/16” wood ranging strips for attaching cabinets to the wall. Tops and bottoms of walls and bottoms of bases are glues and fastened into dados in the cabinet sides and frames.
Finished “Furniture” Ends. 5/8” plywood ends are flush with the face frame and finished in the same color. Wood grain birch vinyl is standard for all interior surfaces. For an additional charge, you can specify hardwood interiors stained to match the exterior of the cabinet. The bottoms of finished interior cabinets will be plywood stained to match the face frame, unless otherwise specified.
Shelves
Cabinet shelves are ¾” with vinyl applied on both sides to match the cabinet interior. Front edges are banded. Wall and base cabinet shelves are adjustable, full depth.
Doors
Cabinet doors are available in many different styles, including solid panels, mortised and tenoned framed or mitered. Create your own look with your choice of outside door edge profiles and many overlays.
Drawers
Traditional cabinet drawers feature 5/8” solid hardwood boxes with dovetail joints, ¾” solid hardwood fronts, ¼” maple plywood bottoms and Blum Tandemplus (full extension, self-closing) guides rated at 100 lbs. (Blumotion is an optional feature). All top edges of the drawer box are eased.
